The Problem With Cannabis Shopping

Since adult-use legalization, New Jersey's retail cannabis market has expanded rapidly. There are more stores, denser menus, and more products competing for attention. At the same time, online menus have become one of the primary ways consumers shop.

That convenience creates a different problem: comparison.

Cannabis prices can vary significantly within a relatively small area, but finding those differences means searching store after store, sorting through hundreds of menu items, and comparing products sold in different weights and formats.

Most people aren't doing all of that.

They go somewhere close. Somewhere familiar, even when a better price may be sitting a few miles away.

What We Do With the Data

GramWise isn't interested in building a profile of what you buy.

We don't process cannabis sales, and we don't know whether you purchased a product after leaving GramWise.

We are interested in how people use GramWise.

Interactions with the site can help us understand which products, categories, price points, and features attract attention. In aggregate, that information can help retailers better understand what shoppers are looking at within their local market.

What We Don't Do

GramWise does not require an account to compare products.

GramWise does not sell cannabis. We surface publicly listed products and prices. Where you shop is up to you.

GramWise does not change rankings or reporting because a retailer advertises, pays, or participates. Paid relationships do not buy better placement in market comparisons.

GramWise does not claim perfect menu coverage. Cannabis menus change constantly, products appear and disappear, and websites do not always behave predictably. We work to capture the market as completely and accurately as we reasonably can, and clearly distinguish what we observed from what we did not.

The prices shown by GramWise come from publicly available retailer menus. Each retailer's own menu remains the authoritative source for current price, availability, and product information.
